William Asbury Norman, age 88, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his home in Saltillo. He was born in Rockwood, TN on December 9, 1935 to William Norman and Pearl Inez Earley Boykin. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his daughters, son-in-laws, grandchildren, and his favorite dog Ruger.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda Dykes (Jim), Mary Self, and Annette Pritchard (Ron); his sisters, Shirley Higginbotham and Edna Fulgham; his brothers, John Boykin (Cathy) and Charles Pannell; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Lottie Norman.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Bill Norman; sisters, Becky Pannell and Allene Contraras; brother, James Boykin; brother-in-laws, Morris Fulgham and Joe Higginbotham; and son-in-law, Marty Self.
Visitation will be 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Lee Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Bro. Chris Stacks and Bro. William Bass officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Anthony Riech, Randy Copeland, David Pritchard, Andy Anderson, Colin Ponders, and James Ponders. Honorary pallbearer will be Daniel Dykes.
