Saltillo - William Michael "Mike" Jones, 55, died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at his home. He was born May 21, 1958 in Waukegan, IL to William Earl and Annie D. Jones. He was a 1977 graduate of Warren High School. He was a truck driver and more recently a self-employed contractor. He was a member of The Orchard and enjoyed football, especially the Tennessee Titans, NASCAR and restoring old cars.
Services will be 2 PM Sunday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shane Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by one son, Scotty Jones of Saltillo; one daughter, Erin Watson of Baldwyn; two step-sons, John Howard and Grant Howard both of Tupelo; his mother, Annie Turner of Saltillo; two sisters, Judy Knipp (Greg) of Antioch, IL and Mary Jones of Saltillo; two brothers, Roger Jones (Vanessa) of Concord, NC and Johnny Jones (Tina) of Saltillo; two grandchildren, Madison Jones and Jude Howard; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents; one brother, James Jones and his step-father, Jim Turner.
Pallbearers will be Terry Whitt, Greg Knipp, Kevin Jones, Judy Knipp, Mary Jones, Roger Jones and Johnny Jones.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be 5 - 8 Saturday.
