William Michael "Mickey" Crowell passed away after a brief illness on July 31, 2014 at the Sanctuary Hospice House with the family by his side. Mickey, as he was commonly known, was born March 25, 1936 and grew up in Pope, Mississippi. Upon graduation, he served in the United States Navy. After completing his service, Mickey worked in construction building roads and bridges throughout Mississippi. He loved traveling and spending time outdoors. He was a loving, dedicated father and husband who loved his family and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patricia Crowell of Tupelo; two daughters, Carol Vaughn (Malone) of Little Rock, AR and Julia Reed (Lee) of Tupelo; two granddaughters, Kim Mackey and Anna Claire Reed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Weston Reed.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Lee Memorial Funeral Home Sunday, August 3, 2014, at 2 PM with Bro. Richard Anglin officiating. Visitation will be from 1 - Service Time on Sunday. A private family graveside service will follow at Lee Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Weston Reed Foundation in care of Create or Sanctuary Hospice House.
