Wayne Hilliard, 86, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born September 12, 1937 in Bemis, Tennessee to Gilbert and Louise Hilliard. He was a graduate of Corinth High School and served his country in the United States Army. He was a salesman at Furniture Center for many years. He was a faithful Christian servant. He enjoyed tinkering on cars and working on almost anything and especially loved spending time outdoors. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 PM Friday at Lee Memorial Park with Bro. Bob DePriest, Jr. officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

He is survived by his three sons, Jeff Hilliard (Norma) of Shannon, Jay Hilliard (Jennifer) of Madison, MS and Steven Hilliard of Ecru; two sisters, Ruth True of Nashville, Tn and Frieda Robertson of Murfreesboro, TN; six grandchildren, Matt Hilliard (Kandi), Peyton Hilliard, Jennifer Mitchell (Luke), SSG Nicolas Zupa, Jacob White and Tyler White; five great-grandchildren, Jace Hilliard, Emerie Hilliard, Camdyn Hilliard, Maeko Mitchell and Malia Mitchell; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant daughter Jan Anita Hilliard; two sisters, Ava Smith and Joyce DePriest.

Pallbearers will be Matt Hilliard, Peyton Hilliard, Jace Hilliard, Larry Inmon, Tyler White and Jacob White.

Visitation will be 12 – 2 Friday at the funeral home.
