Warren H. Fox, Jr., 94, died Monday, August 6, 2018, at his home. He was born November 7, 1923 in Switzer, WV to Warren and Josephine Fox. He served in the United States Army during WW II in the Pacific Campaign where he earned the Purple Heart, the Pacific Campaign Medal, the Sharp Shooter Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Good Conduct Medal and the WW II Victory Medal. God blessed him with the heart of the most humble, loving, compassionate, forgiving and generous spirit his wife Marie, and family have ever known. He was a pillar of strength and a great mentor. He led by example of how a Christian should live. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, VFW and DAV. He loved reading, gardening, yard work and camping.
Services will be 2 PM Friday, August 10, 2018, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tony Corrie officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park.
Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his daughter, Janice Crawford of Mooreville; his sons, Clarence Fox (Joan) of Orlando, FL and Larry Fox (Sue) of Wawaka, IN; a sister, Faye Sizemore of Oklahoma; a brother, Bill Sizemore of Columbus, OH; eight grandchildren, Brian Fox, Scott Fox, Marc Cannata (Brenda), Leslie Willsey, John Fox (Judy), Doug Crawford (Michele), Tony Crawford (Lourdes) and Charlie Crawford-Stamps (Dennis); 20 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie Fox; a daughter, Barbara Fox; his grandson, David Fox; his son-in-law, Jim Crawford and his brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Scott Fox, Brian Fox, Zeb Ozbirn, Marc Cannata, Jacob Shettles and John Fox. Honorary Pallbearer will be Coree Nichols.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House.
Visitation will be 6 – 8 Thursday.
