Obituary

The Bible Says, "We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord."  Wanda Kay Brown Stewart, of Tupelo, went to be with the Lord Jesus October 7, 2018.  She is preceded in death by her husband Floyd William Stewart and is survived by two daughters, Lauren Elizabeth Stewart and Anna Clair Stewart, both of Tupelo.  Ms. Wanda is loved and will be remembered by many other family members and friends.

Wanda was a talented person.  For years, she had a successful banking career in and around Tupelo.  She and her late husband Floyd, were also prominent musicians.  Wanda began singing in churches in Batesville in her late teens.  Floyd also was a soloist but preferred to play drums in the worship band.  They traveled throughout Northeast Mississippi singing in churches and giving gospel concerts.

There will be a graveside service at Lee Memorial Park on Thursday at 1 PM with Rev. Michael Stewart officiating.  Friends and family are welcome and encouraged to leave expressions of sympathy at this guest book.
