Virginia Scruggs, 87, died Saturday, December 6, 2014 at her home. She was born February 2, 1927 in Shannon to Earl Gordon and Louise Mundy Hester. She was a longtime beautician and a member of South Green Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and cooking, especially baking cakes.

Services will be 2 PM Monday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Smith and Bro. Guyton Hinds officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

She is survived by her daughter, Johnnie Wilson of Tupelo; two sisters, Linda Faye Thompson and Mildred (Ed) Gruber all of Saltillo; three grandchildren, Elisha Sullivan, Suzanne (Jeff) Jones and Jennifer (Dale) Tubb; seven grandchildren, John Jacob Owen, Blake Owen, Jeri Sullivan, Bailee Dillard, Brendan Dillard, Emily Sullivan and Conner Jones;

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter Scruggs; her son, H.D. Scruggs; one brother, Adrian Hester and her sister, Juanita Illk.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12 - 2 Monday.
