Verona - Virginia Parker, 76, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born September 19, 1932 in Fett, AL to Hollis and Ida Mae Perkins. She was a housewife and was employed by a nursing home in Illinois prior to moving to Verona. She attended East Heights Baptist Church and her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Services will be 11 A.M. Saturday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bradley Bagwell officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.Survivors include three daughters, Patty (Joe) Benavides of Clute, TX, Candess Hylton of Coeburn, VA and Brenda Stinebuck of Hot Springs, AR; one son Steve Parker of Verona; two sisters, Margaret Free of Tupelo and Florence Ann Wilson of Pontotoc; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Walter (Buddy) Parker and one son, Mike.Pallbearers will be Chucky Free, Andrew Lee, Anthony Lee, Tyler Sweeney, Timmy Osborne and Joel Benavides.Visitation will be 5 - 8 Friday.
