Tupelo - Virginia Dykstra, 91, died Sunday, August 4, 2013 at her home. She was born February 17, 1922 in Saltillo. She as a graduate of Nettleton High School and was the Salutatorian of her class and attended MUW and Ole Miss. She served in the United States Army during World War II attaining the rank of Corporal. She worked as a billing clerk at Blue Bell for 31 years. She was a longtime member of Nettleton Baptist Church and presently a member at Harrisburg Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, watching tv, swimming, traveling and spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

Services will be 2 PM Wednesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include her daughters, Ann Beasley (Larry) of Tupelo and Phyllis Wigginton (Dr. Jimmy) of Smithville; one sister, Kinlock Brown of Nettleton; five grandchildren, Angela Wigginton and Jason Wigginton both of Smithville, Kim Shelton (Nicky) of Olive Branch, Karl Beasley of Saltillo and Scott Beasley (Krissie) of Tupelo; seven great-grandchildren, Jasmine Wigginton, Chase Wigginton, McKenzie Wigginton, Victoria Beasley, Madison Beasley, Emily Shelton and Ethan Shelton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Hall and Kinlock Shumpert; one brother Billy Shumpert; one sister Christine Shumpert; two grandsons, Kennon Beasley and Kevin Wigginton.

Pallbearers will be Larry Beasley, Karl Beasley, Scott Beasley, Dr. Jimmy Wigginton, Jason Wigginton, Nicky Shelton and Ethan Shelton.

Visitation will be 1 - 2 Wednesday.
