SaltilloThomas Rodney Marshall, 60, died Monday, March 11, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born February 9, 1953 in Tupelo to Walter Lee and Jimmie Lee Johnson Marshall. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and worked for the National Park Service on the Natchez Trace for 38 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley, playing the guitar, and was an avid NASCAR fan. A member of The Orchard, he was devoted to his faith and was also a member of the Emmaus Community. He loved his family and enjoyed the time they spent together.
Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jay Stanley officiating.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Darlene Marshall of Saltillo; his children, Zachary Marshall of the US Air Force, stationed in Anchorage, AK and Jennifer LaMontagne (Eric) of Blue Springs; two brothers, Walter Franklin Marshall (Clara) of Suwannee, GA and Larry Lee Marshall (Magdalene) of Verona; his sister, Polly Marshall Godwin (Randall) of Saltillo; two grandsons, Nicholas James and Ethan Hunter LaMontagne; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
