Tupelo--T.K. Ware, 74, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born in Pontotoc County on Dec. 15,, 1936, to Thomas Darrell and Kathleen King Ware. He was a 1954 graduate of High School and served in the U.S. Army. He worked as an accountant and was a longtime member of Harrisburg Baptist Church. He was an avid Ole Miss Rebels fan, especially Rebel basketball. He enjoyed working outdoors and hunting.
Services will be noon Friday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Forrest Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Nettie Ware of Tupelo; two daughters, Kathi Carter (George) of Tupelo and Liz Rayburn (Al) of Pontotoc; his brothers and sisters, William Towery Ware (Margaret) of Okolona, Burton Ware (Shirley) and Nancy Tucker (George), all of Pontotoc, Frances Jernigan (Jerry) of Plantersville, Ray Ware (Charlene) of Tupelo, and Joe Ware (Linda) of Pontotoc; two grandchildren, Josh Rayburn (Mandi) and Hannah Rayburn; three great-grandchildren, Kaden and Marlee Rayburn and Braxton Henson; many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Richard Ware, Jr., John Ware, Judson Jernigan, Joseph Jernigan, Benjamin Tucker, Russell Ware and Timothy Tucker. Matthew Tucker will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.
Visitation will be 10 AM to service time Friday at the funeral home.
