Thelbert Malone Jackson, 86, died Friday, November 20, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Jackson. He was born July 24, 1929 in Smithville to Luther and Attrice Jackson. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of First Christian Church in Aberdeen and retired from the Postal Service. He enjoyed gardening, carpentry, traveling and collecting stamps.
Services will be 2 PM Monday, November 23, 2015, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Secrist officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
He is survived by his children, Linda Husbands (Danny) and Larry Jackson (Canda) all of Pearl, Walter Smith (Cheryl), Dee Cooper (Lee) and Teresa Walker all of Aberdeen; one brother, Bobbie Jackson (Elizabeth) of Aberdeen; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Lillie Belle Nunn Jackson and Gladys Gallop Jackson; one son, Donald Jackson and one brother, Thurston Jackson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Visitation will be 12 - 2 Monday.
