Susan A. Reed, 71, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the North MS Medical Center Hospice Unit after a brief illness. She was born on April 8, 1954 in Tupelo to Troy and Margie Smith. She graduated from Tupelo High School in 1972 and earned her BSN from the Mississippi University for Women. She was a longtime member of East Main Church of Christ. She enjoyed going to the park and feeding the ducks. She loved spending time with her family,

Services will be 2 PM Monday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Barry Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12 - 2 Monday. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Reed of Tupelo; her children, Stephanie Fears (Joey) of Tupelo, Joe Reed of Tupelo, J.J. Reed of Tupelo and Melody Smith (Marty) of Mooreville; her mother-in-law, Varnell Reed of Tupelo; five grandchilden, Krysten Fears, Gabriel Fears, David Lewis (Chantel), Brianna Lewis and Jase Smith; one great-grandchild, Myleigh Lewis; a special niece, Lisa Weaver (Cody) and their daughter, Anna Mae of Tupelo; one sister, Rita Payne of Saltillo; one brother, Tim Smith (Regina) of Saltillo; her sister-in-law, Janie Anglin (Ricky); several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Tupelo-Lee Humane Society.
