Obituary

Stanley Howell Bryan, 78, died Saturday, November 01, 2014 at the Sanctuary Hospice House after a lengthy illness. He was born September 3, 1936 in Baldwyn to Howell and Marguerite Murdock Bryan. He graduated from East Union High School and also attended Blue Mountain College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. A bi-vocational minister, he served churches all over the U.S. and worked as a metallurgist for NASA. He later worked for the City of Tupelo. He also worked in carpentry and loved wood working. An avid sports fan he enjoyed Ole Miss and New Orleans Saints football, golfing, and fishing.

Private graveside services will be held for the family on Monday at Lee Memorial Park with Rev. James Marks officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Survivors include daughters, Angie Tucker (Mike) of Smithville, Phyllis Wallo (Chris) of New Orleans, La., Susan Jackson (Michael) of Tupelo, Jenny Barnes of Tupelo and Amy Bryan of Mobile, AL; nine grandchildren, Carrie, Luke, Nathan, Tyler, Olivia (Bobby), Shelby, Megan (Jonathan), John Bryan (Amber) and Maggie(Greg); six great-grandchildren, Payden, Jake, Annabella, Gracen, Bo and Cambelle

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Bryan; his parents; and four grandchildren, Cayce, Beth, Paul and Drew.

His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sanctuary Hospice House. For online condolences and guest registry, visit leememorialonline.com.
