SaltilloRuth Davis, 75, died Monday, April 1, 2013 at the North MS Medical Center. She was born March 23, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Roy and Lethey Wright. She was a homemaker and worked several years in the food court at the Mall at Barnes Crossing. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed playing cards, working word puzzles, coloring with her grandbabies, going to yard sales and going out to eat.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Matt Westcott officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include three daughters, Millie Bykoff (Doug) of Holly Springs, Debbie Holbrook (Ray) of Shannon, and Teresa Murphree (Mark) of Saltillo; one granddaughter whom she raised as a daughter, Shelly Powell (Todd) of Saltillo; four sisters, Judy Riggs of Cypress CA, Virginia Halock of New York, NY, Susie Atkins (Jim) of Michigan and Billie Stone of Indianapolis, IN; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Davis; two sons, Steve Davis and John Davis; a granddaughter, April Davis and 10 siblings.
Pallbearers will be Adam Haley, Ray Harlow, Rickey Priest, Brandon Priest, Larry Teal, Andy Boatman, James Teal, and Alex Floyd.
