Brewer--Ruby "Mama II" Greer, 80, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at the West Point Community Living Center after a lengthy illness. She was born Nov. 10, 1930, to John Henry and Annie Pearl Nicholson. She was a lifelong resident of Lee County. She was a sales associate for many years and worked for Black's Department Store and Warehouse Liquidators. She was a longtime and active member of Brewer baptist Church and taught children's Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and working in her yard, shopping, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Lee Memorial funeral Hme Chapel with Bro. Tim Tutor and Bro. Joe Dye officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Charles Greer of Brewer; one daughter, Risa Greer West (Sonny) of Senatobia; one sister, Laverne Long of Tupelo; one daughter-in-law, Connie Greer of Brewer; three grandchildren, Carron Wooten (John) of Saltillo, Penney McCormick (Tim Griffin) of Nesbit and Jason Greer (Ashley) of Brewer; four great-grandchildren, Andrew Burleson, Will Stanford, Wesley Stanford, and Colton Greer; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Donnie Greer.

Pallbearers will be John Chrestman, David Chrestman, Craig Stanford, Jim Long, Robert Allen Godfrey and PeeWee Edwards.

Memorials may be made to the Brewer Baptist Church Music Fund.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday,.
