Tupelo - Mrs. Ruby C. Darling, 93, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Oct. 23, 1915, in Beulah, MS to Martin and Mary Edwards. She was a resident of Tupelo for 20 years and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs. Private graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Garden of Prayer at Lee Memorial Park with Rev. David Eldridge officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Survivors include one great-nephew, Mark Monts; one great-niece, Denise Flint; and special friends, Starling and Nadine Hodges.She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Darling; her sister, Hellon Monts; and her brother, William Edwards.In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to either Calvary Baptist Church at 503 West Main St., Tupelo, MS 38804 or Tupelo-Lee Humane Society at P.O.
