TupeloRollan Hays Davis, 71, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born December 14, 1940, in Lafayette County to Doris Hays Davis and Ruth Davis. He served in the National Guard and worked as a maintenance technician for the Tupelo Public Schools. He was a longtime member of Gloster Street Church of Christ. An avid NASCAR and St. Louis Cardinals fan, he also enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, camping and spending time with his family.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chad Ramsey and Bro. Joe Connell officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Louise Davis of Tupelo; two daughters, Donna Davis Castles (Kenny) and Pamela Gail Davis (Jason Turner) all of Tupelo; one son, Gregory Hays Davis (Sandy) of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Nell Abner (Charles) of Tupelo, Lynn Eubank (Marty) of Clarksdale, and Barbara Puritt of Tupelo; two brothers, Thomas W. Davis (Janie) of Etta and Kenny Wayne Davis (Donna) of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Kyle Daniel Castles (Lauren) of Franklin, Tenn., Caitlyn Manning Castles (Hunter Dulaney) of Tupelo, Lauren Lesley Davis and Benjamin Hays Davis of Lawton, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Virginia Karen Murphy.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Dulaney, Benjamin Davis, Kyle Castles, Michael Draper, Jeffrey Pruitt, Eddie Abner, Chuck Davis, Keith Davis, and Jason Turner.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Mates and Spares Sunday School Class.
