Robert Edward Schuler passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at the North MS Medical Center Hospice Unit at the age of 81.  Robert was born March 8, 1937, the son of Harry J. Schuler Sr. and Lucille M. Eccles Schuler in East St. Louis, Mo.  He lived in Blue Springs the past 8 years.  For 54 years Robert worked at Day Brite Industries (now Phillips Lighting), retiring as a supervisor.  An antique car enthusiast, Robert particularly loved his 1929 Model A pickup which he fondly called BJ.

A celebration of his life will be held 11 AM Friday at the Lee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Bubba Kennedy officiating.  Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.  Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-8 PM.

Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 7 ½ years, Patsy Schuler of Blue Springs; 2 sons, Bob Schuler of Blue Springs and Billy Schuler (Elaine) of Arlington, TX; 2 daughters, Juliana Warren (Curtis) of Salem, MO and Renee Courtney (Tommy) of Blue Springs; 2 step-daughters, Cathy Matter (Michael) of Boardman, OH and Tiffany Elrod (Mike) of Lovespark, IL; 2 brothers, Tommy Schuler, Jimmy Schuler (Sue); 3 sisters, Janice Tessar, Mary Lou Phifer, and Elaine Boron (John); 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Harry and Richard; a grandson, Justin Schuler; a great-granddaughter, Katelyn Courtney; and the mother of his children, Joyce Schuler.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Courtney Sr., Tommy Courtney Jr., Jamie Courtney, and Beaty Moore.
