Obituary

Mr. Robert Dudley, 94, passed away Saturday, September 20,2025 at The Meadows in Fulton after a brief illness. He was born May 1, 1931 in Baton Rouge, LA to Vernon Earl and Helen Allen Dudley. He graduated form Ponchatoula High School and earned his Bachelors Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. He enlisted in the United States Army serving for eight years and served during the Korean Conflict. He married the love of his life, Lela, and up until her death 9 months ago, they had celebrated 71 years of marriage, something he held very dear to his heart. He was a Protestant. After his services to his country, he went to work for IBM and after 39 years, he retired as their Administrative Manager. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid LSU Football and Baseball fan and New Orleans Saints fan.


Graveside Services with Military Honors will be 2 PM Wednesday, September 24, 2025 in Lee Memorial Park with Bro. Jim Yates officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.


He is survived by his two sons, Robby and Brian and their wives Lisa and Susan; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lela.
