He graduated from Tupelo High School in 1981, Northeast Jr. College in 1983 and Ole Miss in 1986. Robert was the ultimate sports fan, but baseball was his passion. He coached the Bissel Beast 9U Travel team for several years. Whether it be in the field playing, in his younger days, in the stands or behind a camera, he loved baseball, Especially Ole Miss Rebels Baseball. As a longtime North MS journalist, he oversaw many stories in this area for many years. He had worked for WTVA, WBBJ in Jackson, TN and WCBI and served as the news director for many years. He was recently awarded the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Mississippi Broadcasting Association. His greatest love was his family and his Great Danes.
