TUPELO - Robert E. "Bob" Copeland, 73, died Monday, March 28, 2011, at Sanctuary Hospice. He was born to Isaac and Mary Copeland on December 8, 1937 in Baldwyn. He served in the United States Navy. He loved spending time with family and his dog, Benton. He enjoyed working in his shop. He served the Tupelo area as a real estate broker and appraiser for over 30 years and was a 32nd degree Mason.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lee Memorial Chapel with Bro. J.C. Blackburn officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Barbara; one son, Robert E. "Bobby" Copeland Jr. (Sharon) of Tremont; one daughter, Shirley Copeland Hill (Rick) of Baldwyn; three sisters, Susie Copeland of Saltillo, Hallie Rowan (Charles) of Baldwyn and Hazel Langley of Tupelo; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, R.C. Copeland.
Pallbearers will be Chris Foster, Matt Foster, Bobby Saylors, Billy Burson, Ronnie Johnson and Don Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Roberson and Gene Wallis.
Visitation be from 11 a.m. until service time at Lee Memorial Funeral Home.
