Obituary

Ricky Edward Marshall, 67, of Tupelo, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home in the Palmetto Community on February 14, 2026.Ricky was born on May 22, 1958, in Tupelo, Mississippi, to the late Henry Edward Marshall and Erline Bullard Marshall. On November 17, 1978, he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Vicki Marshall. Their marriage was a beautiful example of faithfulness, devotion, and enduring love. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and faith in Jesus Christ .A graduate of Shannon High School, Ricky worked faithfully for 33 years as a Lab Technician at Cooper Tire. He was a man who believed in honest work and providing for his family. Whether on the job, at home, or on the farm, he worked hard all his life. He built with his hands and gave his whole heart. Ricky was a devoted member of Palmetto Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee and faithfully worked with the children and youth. His faith was not just something he spoke about — it was something he lived. He loved Jesus and was committed to serving God. He participated in mission trips to Belize, completed service projects in his community, volunteered as a paramedic with the Palmetto Fire Department, and gave his time to Habitat for Humanity. He loved growing gardens, farming cattle with his son-in-law and grandsons, tinkering on old cars and trucks, and was always ready to go fishing. Hunting and fishing trips with his son, son-in-law, and grandchildren were among his greatest joys. Days spent on the lake with his family were some of his happiest moments. Above all, Ricky loved his family fiercely. He loved his wife, his children, and his grandchildren deeply. He lived a life of service, sacrifice, strength, and unwavering faith. His legacy will live on in the hands he taught to work, the hearts he taught to love, and the faith he passed down to his family. Ricky fought a good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith. As Scripture reminds us in 2 Timothy 4:7–8, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness." His race is complete, his suffering has ended, and he now rests in the presence of the Savior he loved and served.

Ricky is survived by his beloved wife, Vicki Marshall; his daughter, Holly Marshall Brown (Paul); his son, Tommy Marshall (Nittaya); his sister, Cindy Danovski; and his brother, Michael Marshall (Cheryl). Mother in Law , Betty Bost ; He was a proud and devoted "Pop" to eight grandchildren: Neely Hatfield (Brooks), Eli Brown (Lexie), Jo Brown (Cari), Kenzy Brown, Joeli Brown, Silas Brown, Phatchara Marshall, and Tarit Marshall. Each of them held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by parents Edward and Erline Marshall , his sister, Mandy Marshall; his grandparents, Jesse and Ollie Bell Marshall and William and Lavelle Bullard; and his father-in-law, Tommy Bost.
