Rickey Lane Tackitt, 62, died Sunday, September 28, 2014, at the North MS Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born May 18, 1952 in Pontotoc to Herman Eugene and Annie Lee Berryhill Tackitt. He was a longtime employee of Carrozza Furniture Company where he was a frame builder and a member of Furrs Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching all sports but especially NASCAR.

Services will be 2 PM Tuesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Tackett officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include his son, Mickey Dykes of Pontotoc; one step-daughter, Tracy Monts of Houlka; two step-sons, Bobby Dykes of Georgia and Mike Dykes of Oregon; one brother, Ronnie Tackitt of Columbus; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his longtime friend and companion Patricia Dykes; one sister, Joanne Reynolds; three brothers, Larry Tackitt, Kenneth Tackitt and Gene Tackitt.

Pallbearers will be Mike Tackitt, Mark Tackitt, Phillip Reynolds, Randy Reynolds, Frankie Tackitt and Brian Tackitt.

Visitation will continue today from 12 until service time.
