Obituary

Peggy Jean Crowson Bishop, age 86, of Tupelo, MS passed away peacefully on Saturday morning October 11, 2025, at Generations Assisted Living in Saltillo.

She was born in Randolph, MS in 1939, to Braze and Jewel Miller Crowson.
She graduated from Randolph High School and later went to cosmetology school.
She married Ed Bishop, Program Director of WTVA, in 1970. They were married for 39 years.

Peggy was a beautician, cosmetologist, and loved taking care of her clients.
She enjoyed country music, traveling to mountains and the beach, watching the QVC network, and all things Dolly Parton.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbi Beasley (Johnny Timmons); her grandchildren, Zach Beasley (Rachel), Casey Beasley (Amanda),  and Jenni Beasley Long (Matt); her great grandchildren, Sydney Hill (Eli), Colby Beasley, Hayden Long, Cohen Long, Cedars Long, and Kelon Rymes Long; the father of her grandchildren, Rick Beasley (Kathy); her cousin, Debbie Matest;  her sister-in-law, Lora Mae "Sis" Stegall; and her niece & nephew, Christi Wallace (Kevin) and Scotty Stegall (Martha) .

Visitation will be from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm and graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Lee Memorial Park in Verona.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lee Memorial Funeral Home.

A special thank you to all the caregivers at Generations Assisted Living who have cared for Peggy for the last 2 years along with Enhabit Hospice assistance.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Enhabit Hospice or Sanctuary Hospice.
