Paul Allen Thompson, 77, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 at his home. He was born March 18, 1947, in Knoxville, TN to Richard Henry and Sarah Elizabeth Allen Thompson. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force where he was an Air Traffic Controller. He was a longtime resident of Nashville, TN and a former resident of Tupelo. He was a 32* Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church. He was a longtime salesman for Tupelo Fire Equipment. He was a huge Ole Miss Football fan and an avid golfer and a former member of the Natchez Trace Golf Club.

Services will be 3 PM Wednesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

He is survived by his daughter, Shanna Gammons and her husband, Paul of Tupelo; one brother, John Thompson and his wife, Cheryl of Nashville, TN.; his wife Pam Thompson of Memphis' several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Patricia Watts Thompson and one brother, Sonny Thompson.

Memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House.

Visitation will be 1 - 3 Wednesday.
