TupeloOneal Bailey, 68, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 09, 2015, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born Dec. 15, 1946, the son of Jewell and Odell McClung Bailey. He grew up in Kirkville and began working as a teenager doing body work for George Ruff Buick Olds and also Searcy Ford. He later started his own business, General Body Repair, and then became the owner and operator of a mobile home parts business. Oneal was a sportsman and loved the outdoors. He was also an avid golfer. Active in his community, he was a member of the 32nd degree Free Masons Lodge 318 and a member of the Lee County Shrine Club where he served as president in 1997 and obtained his Scottish Rite in 1997. He was a member of Belden United Methodist Church. He loved his family greatly and enjoyed the time they spent together.
Services will be 2 pm Wednesday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Wilburn and Bro. Dewayne Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Reba Bailey of Belden; his son, Rodney Oliver (Stefanie) of Tupelo; 2 daughters, Penny Clark (Todd) of Randolph and Regina Duffie of Baldwyn; his brother, Jerry Baily (Martha) of Tupelo; 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey Oliver, Jamie Martin, Kayla Bryant, Anagrace Clark, Ashley Carnathan, Olivia Duffie; 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Oliver, Nick Bryant, Logan Nguyen, Jamie Martin, Gary Pace, and Layton Nguyen. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Carlock, Jerry Bramlett, and John David Rogers.
