Obituary

Melvin E. Kimble, 79, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born November 17, 1943, to Milton and Lela Kimble, He worked for Hickory Springs for 27 years. In the 70's and 80's, he was a professional wrestler traveling in most of the South Eastern States. He enjoyed working in the yard, cooking, fishing and hunting. He was adamant about keeping his truck clean and shiny. He loved going to the farmer's market each Saturday and enjoyed his fellowship with his friends eating breakfast at Bam and Chevron in Nettleton.

Services will be 1 PM Tuesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Tallant officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife Geneva Inez Aldridge Kimble of Nettleton; one son, Eugene Kimble (Cindy) of Nettleton; one step-daughter, Deborah Pumphrey of Plantersville; three step-sons, Randy Pumphrey (Sandy) of Verona, Gary Pumphrey and Mark Pumphrey both of Plantersville; two grandchildren, Emily Kimble and Eli Aronoff.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Bob Kimble, Johnny Kimble, Luke Kimble and Curtis Nelson; one sister, Stella Raines.

Visitation will be at 11 - 1 Tuesday.
