Mary Ruth Weston, 88, of Tupelo passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Tupelo Community Care in Tupelo.  She was born July 30, 1937, to Maude and Dewey Bowers. She was a member of Brigman Baptist Church in Corinth. She worked as a seamstress at C&D Jarnagin's Company for many years and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, sewing, and gardening.
She is survived by two daughter, Janet Gates of Walnut and Joy Neal (Samuel) of Dahlongea, GA; four grandchildren, Ashley Gates, Wes Neal, Mary Anne Mullins, and Samantha Smith; eight great grandchildren, Riley Mullins, Dylan Gates, Jordan Mullins, Grayson Gates, Harper Neal, Callie Neal, Summer Smith, and Sloane Smith; and five great great grandchildren, Adalynn Johnson, Harper Mullins, Olivia Brooks, Ollie Brooks, and Renlen Gates.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Weston; her parents, Maude and Dewey Bowers; son, Ken Weston; son-in-law, Buck Gates; one great grandchild, Chad Jackson Cole Gates; sister, Martha Sue Wall; and two stepbrothers.
Graveside service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Brigman Hill Cemetery.  Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
