Mary Margaret Smith

Mooreville – Mary Margaret Smith, 83, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 3, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 2, 1943, in Baldwyn to Odell and Nattie Mae Quinn Hester. She was a member of Green Street Baptist Church. She was a Registered Nurse and worked at the North MS Medical Center for over 40 years. She enjoyed reading, quilting, and was an avid cook. Her greatest joy was her family.

Private family services will be held later. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

She is survived by her children, Mike Fair and wife Angel and Marnita Hodge all of Mooreville; her brother, Gary Hester; her sister, Linda Roach; six grandchildren, Nikki Carlton (Rob), John Moses, Blake McCain (Brittney), Lisa Basham (Steven), Matthew Hodge and Megan Hodge (Kaine); seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Doug Smith.
