VERONA - Mary Heatherly, 68, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born April 22, 1942, in Fulton to John and Maddie Hayes.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Hendrix officiating. Burial was in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Bonner Heatherly of Verona; three daughters, Debra Heatherly of Atlanta, Ga., Donna (Dorsey) Spicer of Mooreville and Diane (Jerry) Whitehead of Baldwyn; one son, Dewayne (Renee) Heatherly of Plantersville; four sisters, Faye Harris, Dorothy Green and Pauline Altom, all of Tupelo, and Laverne Kennedy of Fulton; three brothers, Leon (Melissa) Hayes, Junior (Shirley) Hayes and Ferrell (Linda) Hayes, all of Fulton; nine grandchildren, Timothy (Kayla) Goodrich, Cody Goodrich, Jamie Spicer, Meghan Heatherly, Kelsey Whitehead, Miranda Whitehead, Kesha Whitehead, Haley Heatherly and Cass Heatherly; five great-grandchildren, Weston Goodrich, Lanna Goodrich, Caiden Goodrich, Jess Whitehead and Braxton Gazaway; numerous nieces and nephews.
