Saltillo - Mary Ruth Edwards, 86, died Monday, June 24, 2013 at her son's home. A lifelong Lee Countian, she was born July 25, 1926 to Arthur and Mary Buskirk. She was a member of Mayfield Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and an accomplished cook. She loved canning and working puzzles. She enjoyed meeting new people and doing for others. She had a friendly disposition, compassionate heart and an enormous love for her family.

Services will be 2 PM Wednesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Gary Williams officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include three sons, Phillip Edwards (Shelia) and Harold Edwards (Sherry) all of Guntown and Brian Edward (Kay) of Saltillo; one brother, Merle Keith VanBuskirk (Barbara) of Lacey, WA; one sister, Laverne Raper of Saltillo; five grandchildren, Kevin Edwards, Tonya Goodin, Lucus Lee, Grant Bailey and Heath Bailey; six great-grandchildren, Mason Calomese, Jacob Bailey, Kelsey Lee, Brooklynn Bailey, Lanna Bailey and Braxton Bailey; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Buford Edwards; two grandchildren, Chris Edwards and Jason Edwards; one sister, Grace O. Long; two brothers, Earl Buskirk and Donald Buskirk.

Pallbearers will be Mark Neaves, Lonnie Neaves, Clyde Neaves, Pete Worthy, Grant Bailey and Shelby Lyons.
