Margaret L. Free passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at her home in Tupelo. Margaret has been a resident of Tupelo since 1990. She was born on July 12, 1930, to Ida Lee Berry and Hollis Perkins. She Married Charles Edward Free and they were married for 63 years. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed being outside, gardening, going to church, and working. She had a servant's heart and enjoyed helping people at any chance that she was able.
She is survived by four children, Sharon Free, Kaye Helmes, Jackie Shanks, and Anita Lee; one sister, Florence Ann Wilson; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Free; her parents; one son, Chuck Free; one daughter, Barbara Perez; two brothers, Carl Edwards Perkins and U. D. Perkins; two sisters, Dean Hays and Virginia Parker.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Monday, December 29, 2025, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Bro. Tommy Galloway. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Free, Wesley Free, Anthony Lee, Daniel Lee, Andrew Lee, and Nathan Lee.
