Margaret Blumer, age 69, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at NMMC Inpatient Hospice. Margaret was born May 20, 1949, in Gladewater, TX, the daughter to the late Roy and Lillian Sullivan.
She and husband John, owned and operated Piggly Wiggly in Fulton for 25 years. She loved her family, shopping, decorating and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her determination to fight cancer, her beautiful smile and her sweet southern charm.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 45 years, John Blumer; two daughters, Michelle Dulaney (Brock) and Jennifer Johnson (Kevin); one grandson, Cody West; three granddaughter, Kelly west, Katy West and Kailey Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Linda Phillips.
After battling and eight year fight against brain cancer, Margaret requested a private burial service to the family. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness. A special thanks to Dr. RhodaMarie Maron, Dr. Tan, Dr. Billy Walton, NMMC Home Health Hospice and NMMC Inpatient Hospice.
