Mrs. Mader B. (nee: Shannon) Davis was born in Egypt, Mississippi to the late Anna Morow and George Shannon on October 14, 1919. Mrs. Davis departed this life on December 10, 2012 at her residence at the age of 93.

Mader professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Whitehill Missionary Baptist Church, later united with the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church where she was an active member, moving to Racine, Wisconsin in 1984.

Mader united in holy wedlock to Cottrell Davis in 1938. She was employed by Purnell's Pride for many years and then began doing domestic work.

Mader leaves her daughter, Murdell Davis, Racine, Wisconsin; daughter-in-law Maggie Pickens; seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Mader was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, two sisters, a son and grandson.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Spring Hill Baptist Church with burial in the West Palmetto Cemetery.
