Joseph Macon McKinney, 25, died Monday, September 3, 2018, at his home. He was born January 12, 1993 in Tupelo to Joe and Missy McKinney. He attended Tupelo High School and finished in 2011. He was a member of Verona Christian Church. He worked in his family owned tree service and bridge construction companies. He enjoyed doing carpentry work and riding four wheelers but his greatest joy was spending time with his daughter, Maddyn.

Services will be 11 AM Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

He is survived by his daughter, Maddyn McKinney of Tupelo; his parents, Missy McKinney (Jerry Wigginton) of Grapevine, TX and Joe McKinney of Verona; his brother, Cole McKinney of Tupelo; his grandparents, Shelia Rakestraw of Tupelo and Doris McKinney Bass (Lowery) of Verona; his aunts and uncle, Vicki Browning, Chris Rakestraw and Connie Garrison; his cousins, Anne Beth Browning, Kylie Hill (Justin), Chace Garrison, Chip Garrison and Gabriel Garrison.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Wayne Rakestraw and Jack McKinney.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Johnson, Kaspar Caldwell, Clint McGraw, Colby Trotter, Taylor Bryant and Alex Collins.

Visitation will be 6 – 8 PM Wednesday.
