Lyle E. Bishop, 69, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born June 7, 1947 in Hinchcliff, MS to Claud and Inez Bishop. He worked at Super Sagless for over 35 years and after retiring, he worked for the county for another 5 years. He attended West Mooreville Baptist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed watching football and westerns. He loved to garden and spend time with his family.
Services will be 2 PM Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Winters officiating. Private burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
He is survived by his children, Nicole Bishop of Tupelo, Kevin Holloway (Christy) of Saltillo and Chad Bishop (Lori) of Mooreville; four sisters, Nina Purcell (Mike) of Sardis, Beulah Hosey (Lee) of McGee, Clara Thomas (Jimmy) of Bruce and Reta Jackson (Randy) of Oxford; two brothers, Donald Bishop (Diane) of Waterford and Kirby Bishop (Cheryl) of Batesville; 7 grandchildren, Laken Beasley (Brian), Mandie Payne (Dillon), Grant Bishop, Allyson Bishop, Bronson Spragin, Bryson Spragin and Braxton Bishop; 3 great-grandchildren, Braleigh Bogan, Gage Beasley and Sydney Beasley; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be 12 - 2 Saturday.
