Obituary

Spring, TX--On Monday July 29th, 2013, Louise Weatherly Kelley passed away peacefully in her home at The Village at Gleannloch Farms, Spring, Texas. Mrs. Kelley was born July 17th, 1920 in Pontotoc, Mississippi. She was a long-time resident of Tupelo, Mississippi where she was employed by the Mississippi Department of Health and later with her husband, John C. Kelley, Sr., managed the Dreyfus Jewelry stores in Tupelo. Mrs. Kelley was a prominent member of the East Heights Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and assumed various leadership positions. She was also very active with the Eastern Star of Tupelo. Mrs. Kelley enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading and travel.

A graveside service will be held 6 pm Saturday at Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

She leaves her son John C. Kelley, Jr. of Miramar Beach, Florida , her daughter Shirley Ann Kelley Hunter of Spring, Texas, granddaughters Jennifer Hunter Franson and Melissa Hunter Trascher of Houston, Texas, Amy Elizabeth Kelley of Collierville, Tennessee, grandson John Bradley Kelley of Collierville, Tennessee, great grandson Nolan Gregory Hunter Yeager of Houston, Texas, and great granddaughter Eliza Louise Kelley of Collierville, Tennessee.

She is pre-deceased by her father Ira Dexter Weatherly, her mother Nora Ann Brandon Weatherly, her brothers Ike and Leon Weatherly; all of Pontotoc, her sister Floyce Weatherly Arnold of Houston, Texas and Juanita Weatherly Harrison of Tupelo, Mississippi.

Visitation will be 5-6 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
