Mary Louise Davis, 80, entered her eternal home on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from the Page Greenhouse surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 28, 1943 in Water Valley to Robert and Viola Addie Mae Wilson. She was an administrative assistant for Tupelo Public Schools for many years. She was a member of Gloster Street Church of Christ for 55 years and loved arranging flowers for the pulpit. She was a founding member of Wednesday Friends. She was a board member with the Business and Professional Women's Club. She shared President and Vice-President duties with her husband, Rollan with the Lee County CB Club, Gold Wing Riders Assn. and Good Sams Club, Tater Hills Chapter. She volunteered her time at the Sanctuary Hospice House Store. She was very creative early on. She enjoyed flower arranging, ceramics, cake decorating, macramé, camping, motorcycle riding, bird watching and in her later years she enjoyed scrapbooking. She always enjoyed a good card game or board game and took no mercy on opponents. She loved attending football and softball games her grandkids played in. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved cooking for them whenever they got together.
Services will be 1 PM Monday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chad Ramsey and Bro. Joe Connell officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her children, Donna Castles (Kenny) of Tupelo, Pam Davis (Matt) of Tupelo and Greg Davis (Sandy) of Columbia, TN; five grandchildren, Kyle Castles, Caitlyn Dulaney (Hunter), Lauren Davis (Trent), Ben Davis (Aliesa) and Danny White (Joni); five great-grandchildren, Wrigley Wilson Castles, Jackson Hays Castles, Hannah Bea Castles, Caulder Kace Turner and her namesake, Lucille Louise Turner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rollan Hays Davis and her sister, Linda Gail Wilson Stanley.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Castles, Ben Davis, Hunter Dulaney, Drake McCarter, Hunter McCarter and Zak Spradling. Honorary Pallbearer will be Danny White.
Memorial may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House or Traceway Retirement Community.
Visitation will be 3 – 5 Sunday and 11 – 1 Monday.
