Linda Pattrice Pennington Steen, 86, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. She was born February 5, 1940 to Robert Johnathan Pennington and Kathleen Yancey Pennington. She was a graduate of Shannon High School and Mississippi University for Women. She was a member of Healing Waters Christian Fellowship Assembly of God in Aberdeen, and she was also the pianist. She enjoyed painting and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Ann Felton (Doug) of Hoover, AL; her son, Paul Allen Steen (Karen) of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Claire Renee Pumphrey (Sam) and Adrian Paul Steen; sister, Peggy S. Gandy; brother, Thomas R. Pennington (Brenda).
She is preceded in death by husband, Carl Steen; her parents; sister, Sarah Ann Pettigrew.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Lee Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 pm in Lee Memorial Park with Pastor Brenda Harrison officiating. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted in making the arrangements.
