Shannon--Lee Ander Moore, 76, died Saturday, November 12, 2011, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. He was born January 4, 1935, in Little Rock, MS to Jesse and Shellie Moore. He graduated from Beulah Hubbard High School and East Central Junior College. He was a United States Army Veteran. He owned and operated Lee Moore's Mobile Homes for over 40 years and was the oldest mobile home dealership in the state of Mississippi and served as Past President of the Mississippi Manufactured Home Association. He was a longtime member of Doty Chapel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was affiliated with the Regional Rehab and Global Outreach. His hobbies included riding Harley's one of which won best in show at Daytona, his 1955 T-Bird which was a pace car at the Daytona 500, his pecan orchard, gardening, cutting grass, football, and spending time with his grandsons.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jiim Manley officiating., Testimonials will be offered by Mr. Eddie Baker and Mr Alan Bank. Burial with military honors will be in Doty Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Nancy Moore of Shannon; one daughter, Nancy Leigh McDade (Gene) of Tupelo; one sister, Shelley Ann Chaney (James) of Little Rock; one brother, Jesse M. Moore, Jr. (Scarlett) of Kemper County; two grandchildren, John Henry McDade and Ander Pearce McDade, both of Tupelo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Andy Moore and one brother, George Monroe Moore.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Baker, Jamie Burrows, Brad Clayton, Lonnie Green, Donald Keith, John Michael Crab tree, Tim Morgan and Bobby Stafford. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class at Doty Chapel and the Aqua Aerobics Class at the Wellness Center.
Memorials may be made to Doty Chapel Baptist Church, Harrisburg Baptist Church Boy Scout Hut Building Fund; or Regional Rehab.
