Lee Earnest Brand, Sr., 70, of Nettleton, MS, left this life on Monday, August 6, 2024. He was born June 26, 1954, to Curtis and Floraine Brand. His greatest joys were the Lord, his family, and the outdoors. Many days even near the end of his life, he would be on his walker, holding his bible, and headed to the porch to sit outside and read and watch the birds and the squirrels.
Lee exemplified biblical manhood. He gave all of himself to provide for his family. He was a committed husband who cared for his beloved wife, Sandra, until she left this world. He poured his whole life into rearing his son, Lee Earnest Brand, Jr. of Eads, TN and his other chosen children, Robert Jackson of Nettleton, Renee Jackson (deceased), and Cathy Jackson of Shannon. Lee was a committed member of Good Hope M.B. Church of Shannon, MS. He spent many days in the woods running rabbits or on the pool bank catching catfish. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and never complained.
He is survived by his son, Lee Earnest Brand, Jr. (Tiffany), and his chosen children Robert Jackson (Melissa) and Cathy Jackson; eleven grandchildren, Caleb Payne, Cody Jackson, Kelly Payne, Tyler Jackson (Jessica), Kyle Jackson (Brooke), Casey Payne, Tré Brand, Megan Brand, Avery Brand, Micah Brand, and Matthew Brand; ten great grandchildren, Isaiah Payne, Lexi Jernigan, Leah Hill, Cameron Payne, Jeaylyn Hill, Peyton Robbins, Chip Jackson, Madelynn Jackson, Maylee Jackson, Eli Pugh. He leaves behind seven siblings; his brothers Curtis (Alma) Brand, Bobby (Ida) Brand, and Johnny (Peggy) Brand; his sisters Luedora Robinson, Operlean Brand, Mary (Norsel) Green, and Margaret (John Earl) Moore and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Lee was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra; one of his chosen children, René Jackson, his parents Curtis and Floraine Brand; one brother, Wille Lee Brand, and two sisters Luerine Gardner and Lois Hill.
The celebration of his life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Good Hope M.B. Church with a visitation at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Lee Shumpert and Pastor Lee Brand, Jr. are officiating. Burial will be at Lee Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and family.
