Laruallen Powell, 84, passed away Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 at the Tupelo Nursing and Rehab Center. A Lee County native and lifelong resident, she was born May 9, 1930, to Hubbard and Essie Rogers Baldwyn. She worked for Rockwell International for many years. She was a Baptist by faith.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with her son, Rev. Brent Powell, officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. prior to the service Tuesday

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Fred Powell of Tupelo; two children, Sherian McClendon (Bob) of New Albany, IN and Rev. Brent C. Powell (Joan) of Memphis; 2 sisters, Josephine Burroughs of Tupelo and Joan Prater of Jacksonville, FL; 3 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Jo Ellen Powell, and a granddaughter, Jessica Powell.
