Larry Dale Franks, 73, passed to his heavenly home on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from complications of Parkinson's at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.  He was born February 14, 1952 to Ora and Lillie Mae Franks in Okolona. He worked many years in Futorian in Okolona, worked and retired from Cooper Tire. He loved to hunt and fish in his early years. He loved watching western movies and enjoyed sports, especially MSU. He was married to Barbara Franks for 25 years until her passing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by four children, Eric Franks (Laken) of Fulton, Beth Hughes (Andy) of Wren, Mandy Crane (Joey) of Amory, and Jamie Long (Amanda) of Amory; eight grandchildren, Jamie Nicole House, Cade Franks, Abbi Crane, Olivia Crane, AJ Hughes, Easton Brock, Cane Franks, and Noah Franks; two great grandchildren, one brother, Darrell Franks (Celessicca) and sister, Delores Anderson; mother of his children and special friend, Donna Franks; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Franks; his parents, and brother, Wayne Franks.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Bethany Church. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm the church. Burial will be in East Chickasaw Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Cruse, Larry Duke, Jimmy Cruse, Anthony Lewis, Ronnie Wise, and Daniel Johnson.
