ShannonKathleen Jones, 89, died Sunday, October 20, 2014, at the home of her great-niece, Sherry Flippo. Early in her working career she was a beautician and then served many years as a tax auditor for the Internal Revenue Service. She loved cooking and family get-togethers. She gave of herself and will be long remembered for her loving generosity.

A family graveside service will be held 4 pm Wednesday at the Morrison Cemetery in Brighton, TN. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Survivors include 2 great-nieces, Sherry Flippo (Tommy) and Peggy Ragland; 2 great-nephews, John Ragland (Freda) and Daniel Ragland (Melissa); Tammy Kinny, Belinda Erwin, Brian McGregor; special friends, Paige, Jimmy and Don Price; and a host of extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Lillian Kinny; siblings, Nadine, Paul, and Mary; her husband, Billy Jones; and two children, Betty Kay and an infant son.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Tupelo-Lee Human Society.
