Obituary

Our beloved father, brother, and papaw, Joseph (Joe) Marion Angle passed from this life on February 8, 2016, at the age of 63. He was born December 7, 1952 in Tupelo, Mississippi. He is survived by daughters Veronica Neal (Andrew) and Jennifer Benns (Ron); his son Joel Windham Angle; his brother Mitchell Angle (Renee); his sisters, Teresa Seamans (Bruce) and Twana Bradley (Tony); 6 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Judy Angle.
Joe grew up in the Oak Hill community and attended Mississippi School for the Deaf in Jackson and graduated in 1972. He was an employee of Super Sagless, where he learned the art of welding. He later moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he was employed by AVCO Aviation, where he was instrumental in building B51 bombers. After a number of years he returned to Tupelo, where he settled and raised his family, until his untimely death at North Mississippi Medical Center.
Joe was a life long member of the Deaf community here in Tupelo and Mississippi. He remained active in the Deaf community his entire life. He attended Cedar Grove Pentecostal Church for many years and in recent years was a member of Anchor Church.
Joe grew up surrounded by family and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Although Joe was born deaf and learned to communicate through American Sign Language, he was not looked on as being different from everyone else, he was just our brother, our friend. He loved his family and enjoyed finding little ways to tease and play. He loved making people laugh or running ladies out of his Aunt June's beauty salon with frogs in his pocket. As he grew older, if someone had a job that needed doing, he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services will be Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 1 PM at Cedar Grove Pentecostal Church on Veterans Blvd. with Bro. Danny Robbins officiating. Graveside Services will be held at Lee Memorial Park. Services will be interpreted for the Deaf. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the church. Pallbearers will be Barry Bedford, Barry McCord, Mike McCord, Larry Brown, Dennis Angle and Roger Angle. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Soper and Calvin Owens.
