John Henson, Sr., 60, died Thursday at the North MS Medical Center. He was born December 13, 1954 in Hot Springs, AR to Jim and Beverly Henson. He was a manager at Sam's in Tupelo. He enjoyed riding his Harley, Alabama Crimson Tide football and playing his guitar, but his most enjoyment was being with his children.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM Saturday at Lakeview Baptist Church with Bro. Rob Garland officiating. Private burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his children, Holly Henson (Bryan Dilberian) of Tupelo, John Henson II of Starkville and Christa Haining (Web) of Memphis, TN; his mother, Beverly Chambers of Tupelo; one sister Mary Lindley (Charles) of Verona; one grandson, Devan Dilberian.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Henson; a brother, William Henson and one sister, Faith Salas.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Lindley, Colin Lindley, Scooter Henson and Jimmy Henson.
Visitation will be 5:30 - 6:30 Saturday at the church.
