TupeloJoAnn Grimes, 74, died Wednesday May 8, 2013, at the Baptist Hospital in New Albany. She was born in Tupelo on October 3, 1938 to Edward Oliver and Novie Louelle Hand Clark. The wife of an Army veteran, she was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She was retired from Daybrite Industries and attended South Green Baptist Church.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Irvin, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Grimes (Barbara) of Longbeach and Bobby Grimes (Tamra) of Starkville; one daughter, Dawn Hall (Brien) of Pontotoc; nine grandchildren, Ted Grimes, Barley Smith, Megan Grimes, James Murff, Kimberly Breedlove, Bradley Alexander, Josh Alexander, Emerald Voyle, and Brianna Hall; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur David Grimes, one sister and three brothers.

Visitation will be and 10 - 11 am Thursday.
