Tupelo - Joan Gann, 72, died Thursday, January 05, 2012 at Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. She was born October 7, 1939 in Okolona to Henry Roger and Floise Gaskin. She was an accomplished seamstress, working for several garment factories but most of all she was a homemaker. She was a member of Carnation Baptist Church in Okolona. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking. She loved her family and the time they spent together.

Services will be 2 PM Sunday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lowell Walker officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Guy Gann of Tupelo; one daughter, Cindy Stults (Terry) of Tupelo; two grandsons, Timothy Stults and Chris Stults both of Tupelo; one great-grandson, Preston Stults of Nettleton; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lois Alford; two brothers, Roger Gaskin and Oliver Gaskin.

Pallbearers will be Randy Holley, Billy Holley, Johnny Holley, Billy Curtis, Mike Jenkins, Sammy Knight, Tyler Gaskin, Ashley Gaskin and Tracy Stults. Honorary Pallbearer will be Steve Gaskin.

Visitation will be 4:30 - 7:30 Saturday.
