Jerry D. Hill, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Countrywood Manor in Mantachie after a lengthy illness. He was born September 3, 1939 in Baldwyn to Kirby and Myrtle Miller Hill. He attended Baldwyn High School and IJC. He served in the Mississippi National Guard. He was a longtime member of East Mount Zion Baptist Church. He worked for over 30 years at North MS Medical Center in Facility Operations as an industrial electrician.

Services will be 2 PM Saturday at East Mount Zion Baptist Church with Bro. John Cagle officiating. Burial will be in Pratts Cemetery. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

He is survived by his children, Sherry Fowler of Baldwyn, Tonya Byrd of Mantachie, Adam Hill (Christy) of Baldwyn, Joey Hill of Aberdeen and Josh Hill of Booneville; 8 grandchildren, Mallory Barnes (Zac), Makayla Vanover (Dustin), Madison Fowler, Austin Byrd (Tyler), Colton Byrd, William Hill, Sean Hill and Isaac Hill; 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cathy Hill; 2 sisters, Dot Leech and Mauveleen Minor; a step-son, Brad Sullivan and a grandson, Adrian Hill.

Pallbearers will be Mike Bishop, Steve Hendrix, Jeff Minor, Michael Minor, Austin Byrd, Colton Byrd, Mike Underwood, and Buck Edge. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joey Hill, Josh Hill, Jacky Byrd, Kerry Fowler and Michael Minor, Jr.

Visitation will be 11 - 2 Saturday at the church.

Memorials can be made to Countrywood Manor/Lakeview Place.
